From zero to a live community

The whole path: create it, give it an identity, publish, and open the door.

Cool is a paid-community platform: you create your own space with a feed, courses, lives, a calendar, ranking and checkout — and charge for it, if you want to.

This is the complete path, from zero to your first member.

1. Create the community

Click Create community (the orange button at the top of the site). You pick the name, the address (coolbases.com/c/your-name) and which Cool plan you want.

The Começo plan is R$0/month and asks for no card. You only pay a fee when you actually sell. You can change plans later, any time.

2. Give it an identity

In the community panel, under Settings → General:

  • Logo and cover — what shows on the public page and in the share card.
  • Description — the answer to "what is this?". It appears on the About tab and in search engines.
  • Default language — Portuguese, English or Spanish.
  • Visibility — public (listed in Discover and indexable) or private.

3. Publish something

An empty community retains nobody. Before inviting anyone, publish at least:

  • one post saying what people will find there;
  • one lesson or event, so there's real content;
  • the rules, if the community is conversation-driven.

4. Open the door

Under Members → Invite you generate an invite link. Anyone with it joins (or requests to join, if you require approval).

If you're going to charge, set the price first — see Plans, prices and what the member buys.

The basics take about 15 minutes. "About" is honest: it depends on how much of your text is already written.
